DRAT Mumbai Eligibility Criteria 2026
Section Officer (Group B) – Level 7
Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department OR with 5 years of service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Level 6 in the pay matrix (₹35,400 – ₹112,400) or equivalent. Desirable: Experience in legal or judicial work.
Private Secretary (Group B) – Level 7
Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department, OR with 5 years of service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Stenographer Grade I in Level 6 or equivalent. Desirable: Experience in legal or judicial work.

Stenographer Grade-I (Group B) – Level 6
Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department OR with 10 years of service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Level 4 in the pay matrix (₹25,500 – ₹81,100) or equivalent.
Upper Division Clerk / UDC (Group C) – Level 4
Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department, OR a lower division clerk with 8 years of service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Level 2 in the pay matrix (₹19,900 – ₹63,200) or equivalent.
DRAT Mumbai Selection Process 2026
1 – Application Forwarding: Applications of willing and eligible candidates who could be spared immediately must be forwarded to DRAT Mumbai through proper channels by the parent department or office.
2 – Document Verification: Applications will be scrutinized along with attested photocopies of APARs for the last 5 years (up to 31st March 2026) and a vigilance clearance certificate.
3 – Selection: The parent department will ensure that the official is clear from a vigilance point of view and no disciplinary case is either pending or contemplated against them as given in the proforma at Annexure-II.
4 – Appointment: Selected applicants will be appointed on a deputation basis for an initial period of 1 year, extendable up to a maximum of 3 years.
