Section Officer (Group B) – Level 7
Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department, OR with 5 years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Level 6 in the pay matrix (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400) or equivalent. Desirable: Experience in legal or judicial work.
Private Secretary (Group B) – Level 7
Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department, OR with 5 years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Stenographer Grade-I in Level 6 or equivalent. Desirable: Experience in legal or judicial work.
Assistant (Group B) – Level 6
Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department, OR with 10 years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Level 4 in the pay matrix (₹25,500 – ₹81,100) or equivalent.
Accounts Assistant (Group B) – Level 6
Officers under the Central Government holding analogous post on regular basis, OR with 10 years regular service in Level 4 or equivalent. Age Limit and Deputation Terms
Maximum Age for all posts: 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications (15th June 2026). Appointment on deputation is for an initial period of 1 year, extendable up to a maximum of 3 years as per Recruitment Rules 2018 dated 8th June 2018. Terms of deputation shall be regulated in accordance with DoPT OM as amended from time to time. The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other Organisation or Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years. Officers in the feeder grade who are in direct line of promotion shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. A deputationist already in DRAT or DRTs under the jurisdiction of DRAT Mumbai shall not be eligible for consideration for absorption or promotion.
DRAT Mumbai Selection Process 2026
1 – Application Forwarding: Applications of willing and eligible candidates who could be spared immediately must be forwarded to DRAT Mumbai through proper channel by the parent department or office.
2 – Document Verification: Applications will be scrutinized along with attested photocopies of APARs for the last 5 years (up to 31st March 2026) and vigilance clearance certificate.
3 – Selection: The parent department will ensure that the official is clear from Vigilance point of view and no disciplinary case is either pending or contemplated against them as given in the proforma at Annexure-II.
