Eligibility Details

The recruitment is open only to serving Punjab Government employees fulfilling the conditions prescribed in the official notification. The following eligibility requirements apply as on 01 November 2025. Applicant must be a confirmed hand under the Punjab Government. A minimum of 8 years of continuous service is mandatory. Applicants should be below 54 years of age. Applicants must possess a Graduate degree from a recognized university. Proof of having passed Punjabi language up to Matriculation level or equivalent is required. Employees of Universities, Boards, Societies, PUDA, GMADA, PSPCL, PSTCL, Corporations and similar organizations are not eligible.

Subjects Included in the Screening Test

The syllabus covers the following subjects with at least 10 questions from each area Civics, Constitution of India, Indian History, Geography, General Science, Punjabi Language, English Language, History of Punjab and General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

Scribe Facility and Compensatory Time

The Punjab Public Service Commission has provided special provisions for persons with benchmark disabilities (PwD) appearing in the screening test. Applicants with 40% or more benchmark disability are eligible for 20 minutes of compensatory time per hour of examination. Applicants with Blindness, Locomotor Disability (Both Arms Affected) and Cerebral Palsy are automatically entitled to a scribe facility. Other eligible PwD applicants may avail a scribe by producing a certificate from the Chief Medical Officer, Civil Surgeon or Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution certifying the physical limitation to write. Applicants may either arrange their own scribe or request PPSC to provide one. UDID Card or Online Disability Certificate and all relevant documents must be submitted on or before 30 July 2026.

After successful submission of the online application form, applicants must send the hard copy through their respective Head of Department to the PPSC office along with the following documents certificate from Head of Department (Annexure-A) in original, Service Record Proforma certified by the Head of Department (Annexure-B), Scrutiny Form filled by the applicant (Annexure-C), Proof of Date of Birth (Matriculation or Higher Secondary Certificate), Graduation Degree Certificate from a recognized university, Punjabi language qualification certificate, Reserved Category Certificate, if applicable, Confirmation Certificate of Punjab Government Service and UDID Certificate or disability-related documents, wherever applicable.
